I have lived in Bournmoor since 2008 & was actively involved in the Castlefields Residents Association. I enjoy being part of a village community & wanted to get more involved with the local area.  I was co-opted into the Bournmoor Parish Council in June 2017.

Since completing my Engineering Degree in Newcastle, I have worked at the Nissan car factory in Sunderland where I now manage a team of Engineers to install, commission & maintain machinery required for car production.

I am keen to support the local community, look after the area we live in & the best interests of the local residents.

Chair : David Robinson

I have lived in New Lambton, Bournmoor with my wife and two children since 2002. We love the area and enjoy the fact that we can commute to all parts of the North East but still live in a rural area, enjoying local walks with our dog.

I work in a charity leadership role, currently working in the youth sector, with previous experience in learning disability, mental health, employment support, corporate social responsibility and local regeneration. I’m also a trustee of the North Easts Regional community and voluntary sector infrastructure organisation. I have a business degree and Psychology Masters, both from the University of Sunderland.

I hope to be able to bring a range of skills to the Parish Council and have really enjoyed getting to know colleagues, meeting residents and hope I can contribute to continuing to make Bournmoor a great place to live.

I have lived in Bournmoor for over 40 years. I was a teacher in Fence Houses for over 30 years.

I have been an active member of both Bournmoor Parish Council and Little Lumley Parish Council for more than 35 years.

I was elected to Chester le Street District Council in 1987 and remained there till 2009 when the districts ended. As a district councillor I served on many committees/groups always doing my best for our community and the wider area. For example, I was a governor for many years at local primary and secondary schools. For several years I was a member of the Chester le Street Citizens’ Advice Management Committee.

From this background I bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to Bournmoor Parish.

Hi, I'm Eve

My main reasons for joining the Parish Council are to help improve our local area & make things better for our younger generations now & for the future.

I live in our scenic village of Bournmoor with my husband, 2 children & 2 cats and also run my own business Eve's Flower Trail from home.

I'm an Assistant Scout Leader of 1st Burnmoor Scouts & Secretary for Sydney Street Allotment Association, where I have an allotment.

I'm passionate about volunteering where I can help.

I was born in Darlington & joined the local Police service in 1971. Later I was transferred to Chester le Street & then policed the areas of Lumley, Bournmoor, Fencehouses & Shiney Row til 1996. Finally retiring from the Police in 2001.

I have always taken a wide interest in the local community & started visiting the local schools in 1976 including Woodlea Primary School. I became a School Governor at Woodlea after my retirement & continue to visit / support as required.

After moving to Bournmoor in 1981, I helped to found the Bournmoor Conservation Group & I am currently Chairperson. In addition, I am a Trustee of the John Duck Charity in Lumley.

I have lived in Bournmoor with my wife and daughter since 2011 having grown up in nearby Washington. I can often be seen walking my dog around our wonderful village and the surrounding area.

I am an Independent Financial Advisor and I run 3 companies with my wife, a financial services company, a legal services company and a property company. All of these are run out of our home here in Bournmoor.

I was keen to join the Parish Council so that I can give back to a community that has welcomed me with open arms, and I hope to help wherever I can to keep this great community thriving
